About the Program
UCCS also offers a flexible minor in Electrical Engineering. The minor provides students the ability to formally supplement their study in other fields with a rigorous electrical engineering background that will enhance employment opportunities after graduation.
Focus of Study
The program as a whole will let students build the foundational knowledge and develop the skills necessary for work in fields requiring electrical engineering skills. Students will gain skills in Robotics, Computer Based Modeling, and Signals and Systems, and may select a specialty are in Computers, Electronics, Electromagnetics, or Systems.
Program Requirements
- 22 credit hours
- 8 upper-division credit hours (3000-4999 level)
- 2.0 Minor GPA; a grade of C or better in all courses applied to the minor
- Prerequisites may be required, but will not count toward total hours for the minor
- A maximum of 9 credit hours of transfer work may be applied to the minor
- Residency: Last 14 credit hours of the minor must be completed while registered at UCCS
