About the Program

UCCS also offers a flexible minor in Electrical Engineering. The minor provides students the ability to formally supplement their study in other fields with a rigorous electrical engineering background that will enhance employment opportunities after graduation.
 

Focus of Study

The program as a whole will let students build the foundational knowledge and develop the skills necessary for work in fields requiring electrical engineering skills. Students will gain skills in Robotics, Computer-Based Modeling, and Signals and Systems, and may select a specialty are in Computers, Electronics, Electromagnetics, or Systems.

Program Requirements

  • 22 credit hours
  • 8 upper-division credit hours (3000-4999 level)
  • 2.0 Minor GPA; a grade of C or better in all courses applied to the minor
  • Prerequisites may be required, but will not count toward total hours for the minor
  • A maximum of 9 credit hours of transfer work may be applied to the minor
  • Residency: Last 14 credit hours of the minor must be completed while registered at UCCS
