Biographical Sketch

Dr. Huang received his B.S. in 2007 and M.S. in 2010 from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, both in Biomedical Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from The City College of New York (CCNY) in 2017 with research focusing on computational modeling for transcranial electrical stimulation (TES). His first post-doc training spanned across academia and industry developing fully-automated software for TES modeling. After that he had a second post-doc training in a top 3 cancer hospital in the US focusing on using modern AI to detect cancers from medical images. 

Dr. Huang's most significant work includes an open-source software called ROAST that he created for personalized TES modeling, and a new modality of temporal interference (TI) stimulation he proposed using two arrays of electrodes. He also has over 5 years of industry R&D experiences translating these technologies into commercial products.

Dr. Huang's current and future interests include developing AI systems for biomedical engineering and bioinformatics, understanding modern deep-learning systems, embodied AI,  neuromorphic computing, and artificial life​.
