Differential tuition is tuition undergraduate College of Engineering and Applied Science students pay in addition to their regular UCCS tuition. Unlike general tuition, which is distributed throughout the university, differential tuition stays within the College of Engineering & Applied Science to directly benefit students in their educational pursuits.

College of Engineering & Applied Science labs, supplies, and courses cost more than other degree programs. Keeping up with technology is a high priority for the college to ensure a quality educational experience.

The College of Engineering & Applied Science has invested differential tuition in four key performance areas:

  • Information technology - providing state of the art, high performance computing to all students and access to virtual computer labs on and off campus.
  • Educational assistance and instruction - staffing help centers for each department within the college.
  • Labs and lab supplies – continually upgrading labs and keeping lab supply costs as low as possible for students.
  • Equipment – providing high-end equipment to enhance instruction and the student experience
